The safari zones in Dudhwa National Park have something or the other unique features of the park to amaze the tourists. The experience of each safari zone is different from the other. The forest safari is entirely regulated by the national park authorities in every zone and there are specified set of rules and regulations that must be followed by the visitors. An advance booking for the safari is required as the last minute reservations might not be entertained due to non-availability of seats.
Safaris are conducted in the following zones in Dudhwa National Park
Dudhwa Safari Zone -This zone is the most popular one among the tourist and records the highest footfall. The beautiful velvety grasslands and dense marshes cause the main attraction. Apart from the grasslands, the Dudhwa Zone also offers the maximum chances of sighting the Royal Bengal Tigers and Asiatic Elephants. The nearest city is Palian Khan. Rhinoceros Breeding Program and Project Tiger is the part of this zone.
Kishanpur Safari Zone - - This zone of the Dudhwa National Park is plenty of things to indulge in. The zone is best for bird watching and also tiger spotting. The nearest town is Mailani. Sambar deer, Hog deer and Chital are also encompassed in the list of animals commonly sighted here.
Katerniaghat Safari Zone - Located near the Indo-Nepal border, Katerniaghat Safari Zone is best known for its conservations efforts of endangered species like gharial, tiger, long-billed vulture and Gangetic dolphin. Boating in this zone is the most exciting experience.
Chuka Beach Safari Zone - - Also known as Pilibhit Tiger Reserve and is an important part of the Dudhwa National Park. Pilibhit is the nearest town to the Chuka Beach safari zone. Tall grasslands and Sal forest also remain the attractions of the zone.
Sonaripur Safari Zone -Tourists enjoy spotting the one-horned rhinoceros in the Sonaripur safari zone.
